How it works:
Blackmagic Survivor Island was created for entertainment so that we could vote fellow members off the island.
Island Week vs. Real World Week
Each Island "Week" lasts half a week in real life. Day 1 for the first half of a real week falls on Sunday and lasts a full 24-hours till Monday (Day 2). Day 1 for the second half of a real week falls on noon on Wednesday and lasts a full 12-hours till Thursday (Day 2). The rest of this rules page when using the word "week" will refer to an Island Week which only consists of 4 Days.
Voting
You may cast a vote against 1 member per week. That vote will tally with everyone else's votes. Voting starts on Day 3 or whenever immunity tallies are all complete. The member with the highest number of votes at the end of the week will be kicked off the island. The member to be kicked off the island will not always be chosen at the end of the week (Day 4); it depends on when the last member to vote casts his or her vote.
If a member does not vote that week, he or she will automatically be kicked off. If there happens to be a tie between two members, the member with the highest sum of votes for all weeks will be kicked. If there are no previous games (ie: Week 1), both members will be kicked off.
Immunity
Each week, every member of the island has a chance at immunity. Being immune means that no one can vote against that member for that week. Attempts for immunity must be made before the voting starts on Day 3. Note: You do not have to attempt for immunity and you will not be penalized for not doing so.
To attempt for immunity, a simple number game is involved. Here's how it works: The webpage will generate a random number between 1 and 1,000 for each member. You have 5 chances to guess as close to the number as possible. After each guess, you will be told if the number is higher or lower than your guess. After 5 guesses, you will be told how far away from the actual number your final guess was. This number is known as the Immunity Rating (IR). On the morning of Day 3 (or then if everyone has completed immunity), the member with the lowest IR will gain immunity for that week.
If a tie occurs, both members will become immune that week. If an immune member's IR is +/- 2 of the actual number, that member will have "Double Damage" (able to vote twice) that week. Note: Even if more than 1 member has +/- 2 IR, only the member(s) who has immunity will be able to have "Double Damage". If a member's IR is 0, then that member will have "Quad Damage" and will be able to cast 4 votes.
Winning
Obviously, the final sole survivor of the island will win the game. When a game is won, the administrator for the island will be able to start a new game and all the scores are reset.
Tips
Alliances with other members is one of the best ways to ensure maximum survival time. Also, the immunity game works the same way every week and there are ways to improve upon your chances.
